Coppertop hasn’t thawed yet, but rain is forecast early next week and should melt our snow and ice. The sparkly snow is so beautiful during these sunny, cold days. The most interesting sights appear as icicles form near the waterfall. Even the metal frog sculptures are encased.

The sap of our bigleaf maple trees can’t flow in these frigid temps, but the couple inches of sap that flowed when we first tapped the trees have frozen solid in the jugs — well preserved until the next thaw.
