In the past few weeks, the garden has exploded with beauty. From lilacs and the first ranunculi to rhododendrons, clematis, and lupines, colors and fragrance have filled the space. Photos tell more than I ever can! June promises to be another lovely month.

Fun updates to the front of our home are new iron stair handrails. We’ve lived here for 10 years without any rails, and these definitely make the entrance more welcoming and accessible to all. A local craftsman made them for us, and we are grateful!

My lupins have been nibbled by snails … happy to see yours, it gives some comfort. Otherwise I do like that lilac color

Your gardens look lush and lovely, and the railings are beautiful. Lupine question – do you keep your seeds? If so, do you just leave them on the plant until they are ready to remove? Thank you.

  Thanks for visiting, Judy. Yes, I save some seed each year from my favorite lupines by waiting until the pods are practically crispy and seeds are hardening within. Saved too early, the seeds can rot in storage.
