What a cheerful addition this group has been! Started by Cathy posting from Germany at Words and Herbs, this week has been filled with blooms from gardeners worldwide. Do join in if you are able.
Although we have blue skies today and a fresh briskness in the air, I’m thinking ahead to tulip time on the deck. In May 2020, we enjoyed these beauties:

Fabulous tulip pots and a lovely place to relax!

Thank you! I’m a sucker for white tulips and white flowers in general. A great double variety that’s so reliable for me here is ‘Mt. Tacoma’. Fragrant too!

Gorgeous!! I love it. I have never gardened anywhere tulips did well. And am too lazy to refrigerate bulbs and all that. Happy Thanksgiving!

I understand, Amy. Some flowers are too much trouble in certain locations. Yes, Happy Thanksgiving there, too! (but I hope to see your blooms tomorrow!)

That is a wonderful display March! Your spring sitting area looks sominviting. π I have planted up a few pots of tulips again this autumn. Do you keep yours outside all winter? We all seem to have had spring on our minds today! π·β€οΈπ·

I treat them mostly as annuals and plant new bulbs in pots each year. They’ve been planted for about a month now and are hanging out on another area of the deck, getting chilled. Very different colors for 2021, which keeps things interesting! π

Oh how wonderfully transported that picture of your deck with tulips made me feel!
It reminds me of something my mother said to me once when I was having a hard time in college: βhang in there, spring will come.β

Your mother spoke such wise words! Glad I could give you a smidgen of a break during these crazy times, Lauren.

I am only planting my tulips now, so this is so exciting to see. A timely reminder, it is worth all the scrambling about with a trowel ! π
