August is a fabulous month for filling vases with abundant garden flowers. Cheery bouquets help lift the sadness brought about by the departure of many wonderful houseguests. The last of the anemones overlap with the first dahlias and gladioli. Hydrangeas faithfully produce vibrant yet delicate blooms to enjoy outdoors and in.
This morning, the sun streaming through windows cast all the vases in a glorious light.
The contrast of yesterday’s early evening shadows on the anemone arrangement is also a favorite of mine.
