Well, the thermometer in the chilly garden shed has read just 30 degrees for a couple of weeks, and my spray bottles and watering cans in there have frozen solid. I’m debating whether it’s worth the expense to run a space heater in the uninsulated structure. We’ll have to do that soon enough with baby chicks again. Trudging through the snow with jugs of water from the garage is getting old pretty fast, but it’s my only option to keep things alive, since we’ve turned off all pipes throughout the frozen gardens. Today I left the shed door wipe open since outdoor temperature should reach 40 degrees. The saviors of my seedlings are the heated mats. The trays of seedlings below are easily identifiable even without their tags.
Viva las sweet peas and lupines!
New life, balm for the soul! ❤
