I’m breathing a huge sigh of relief. The Himalayan blue poppies or Meconopsis betonicifolia have sent up new, healthy foliage. It seems they have survived to hopefully bloom another year! I guess I’ll continue what I’ve been doing, which is weeding gently, watering when super dry, and otherwise ignoring them.
My plan to start new blue poppy seeds hasn’t materialized, although I guess it’s not too late to sprinkle some in this barrel and see what sprouts. Last year’s beauty has inspired me.
I love the blue poppies and yours last year were truly wonderful! It looks like you’ll be in for an even better display this year 🙂
