Days of sunshine have brought heather into full bloom. How sweet it is to hear the bees buzzing and at work already among the heather and violas.
I was negligent in cleaning up the plants atop the driveway’s rock wall. Now the Alchemilla mollis have frozen, thawed, and decomposed to the point of requiring major effort. A lesson for next year. After a few days’ work, I’m ⅔ of the way done!
The dank muck is in stark contrast to the views from the porch this morning. Breathtaking!
