It is most definitely frog season at Coppertop. The males’ evening mating songs have subsided, and the results are evident in the pond.

Our beagle has taken up a new hobby:  frog hunting! He bounds down to the pond in the morning to find whatever friends he can. He has even waded into the shallows, which is completely against his nature as this dog detests bath time.

So far we haven’t seen him eat one or even catch one . The frogs are too quick for the 10-year-old hound. They hop into the deeper water then hang out, long legs dangling, and taunt the beagle.

That face says, “But Mom, I just want to PLAY with them!”
