So many folks are pleased to see this year in the rearview. It’s been a strange one, that’s for certain. I haven’t hated it because it held plenty of joy for me personally, including the birth of a precious, second grandson, but I’ve hated the pain and suffering the year held for many.
I find it’s impossible to immerse myself in the garden and not stay focused on a bright future. In the Coppertop gardens, a few 2020 standouts shine:

We sang a beloved hymn at our daughter’s wedding one week ago that ended with:
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!”
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
“Great is Thy faithfulness, ” Lord, unto me!
Your daughter married last week? Wonderful! It did me good to look back at my photos of this year to remind me of all the highlights, and it is so nice to see you also have had a good year in the garden. Happy New Year to you and your family March!

Thank you, Cathy! It was a beautiful ceremony on the east coast, and now they are moving to live with us in Washington State. Happy 2021 to you and your family as well!

Your garden certainly was a blessing this year of having to stay home. I am so happy your daughter could get married at this time. Best of luck to them and of course to you. Happy and Healthy New Year.

I appreciate your kindness, Lisa! I despised the risky travel but we needed to be back east for the big day. Now we are quarantining… happy and healthy New Year to you as well!

What a lovely look back, and your gardens are outstanding! Those bulbs and peonies will certainly be something special to anticipate. And I’m sure you put those four new beds into good use, too.
